American Girl

Yesterday was an incredibly fun day for Harper-Lynn and myself! ha! Miss H had her first official American Girl experience! Needless to say, she LOVED it! We browsed the store, bought the new Lea DVD and then had lunch.  I loved watching her eyes light up each time she'd see something new for her doll, Paige, to get. ha! I kept hearing, "Paige needs this. Paige needs that!" Sometimes she'd be silent and just put her little hand over her mouth in amazement at what she was seeing.  Definitely a wonderful experience for this mommy!

We started our day on the carousel since the store wasn't quite open.  Unfortunately, the carousel wasn't "quite open" either! So she just sat on the top of the horse and posed for a picture.

After about 10 minutes, we went back downstairs and entered the store! Seriously, these people think of EVERYTHING! Harper-Lynn wanted to get her doll's hair styled.  I didn't have the heart to tell her Paige isn't a "real" American Girl doll.  She's one from Walmart.  I'm trying to wait until H is at least six to get a real AG doll.  Want to make sure she's not going to color all over it like she did with Paige the day before her AG surprise trip!

Here's a little of the awesome stuff they have at American Girl...

Next up was the American Girl Bistro. Harpie LOVED getting to pick out a booster seat for Paige so she could join us for lunch! : )

They actually have delicious food! You get an appetizer and a main course.  I had the spinach and artichoke dip and the turkey bacon club.  Both were excellent! Harper-Lynn ate from the 4 and under menu.  She had chicken tenders, fruit and veggies.  As part of her combo she got a special ice cream dessert.  It was definitely a hit with her!

Next it was back to the carousel in hopes that it was up and running! Thankfully it was.

Pure enjoyment as you can tell!

After the carousel, Harper-Lynn went to the Disney Store and got to pick out a gift for $20 and under.  She chose a cute Aurora doll.  After that it was time to head home.  She had a blast and kept telling me that all night before bed time.  Made all the effort to coordinate it worth it!
